2019 was the second year in a row we designed the pavilion for Eastern Economic Forum Cup Tournament of the World Amateur Go Championship.
The tournament was attended by 68 guests from Russia, China, the Republic of Korea, India and Japan. In addition to traditional competitions, the tournament’s honored guests tested VR Go, having held the first virtual match in history. Go is the oldest and most complex strategy game in the world. The game owes its popularity and promotion to China, and its name, by which it is known throughout the world, – to Japan: in Japanese Go means “surround with stones”. The essence of the game is to surround the territory of the opponent and expand the borders of your state.
